Strategy Director, Firebelly Design
Kristin is a Virgo, but that’s not all! She’s also a poet, native Californian and damn good listener who hurls her whole heart at everything she does.
As the studio’s Strategic Director, she helps steer our collaborative process and attends to our creative health with courage and conviction, cartwheeling into each week eager to build from untapped strengths and nurture generous relationships with clients and co-conspirators. Her purpose in life? Serving purpose-driven organizations, including Planned Parenthood, FLOR, Girls Garage and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In addition to leading brand, campaign and communication strategy, she writes a mean manifesto and imbues every project with a joyful sense of play and precision.
Kristin is a fearless public speaker and shameless advocate for mental health, wage equity and diversity in design. She’s spoken at AIGA Chicago, Ladies Get Paid and Hopscotch Design Festival, ever hopeful that radical honesty might spur more conscious, collective action. She says hello to every dog she sees and takes hydration very, very seriously.
Kristin holds two—that’s right two!— degrees in her own language, an AB in English from Princeton and MA in Humanities and Creative Writing from the University of Chicago.
