Join us for back-to-back design and development talks presented by designers from Automattic. These talks are suited to designers and developers alike and do not require working code knowledge.

Visual Data + Computational Design
Presented by Mark Uraine

This talk will explore the relationship between visual data and computational design, the meaning of each, and how they can be used together. There will be a quick tutorial with the WordPress REST API and p5.js (Processing).

Using Real Data for a Better Design
Presented by Kelly Hoffman

This talk/tutorial will discuss the benefits of using real data in the design process and how it can lead to a better product. Using a WooCommerce redesign as the real world example, we'll go from zero (back-end code knowledge) to API hero.
— Kelly Hoffman is a designer working on WooCommerce at Automattic. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and mountain biking.

Attendance is free but registration is required.

Thanks to Automattic for presenting these talks.
